Timo is currently studying a BFA in Drawing and Painting at OCAD University.

Timo Cheah, a Canadian interdisciplinary artist of Chinese-Malaysian and Finnish descent, reflects on contemporary queer identity and ways of decolonizing their being. Becoming acquainted with the Pacific Northwest through blue collar work, yet living in Tkaronto/Toronto, they critically ponder as a visitor on unceded Indigenous lands. As a core member of Shoes off Collective, Cheah has explored co-creative spaces, how our identities as artists are projected asyncronously, and ways they develop beyond this.

They currently have a group show with Shoes Off Collective at Ignite Gallery Oct 10th - Nov 3rd. Their recent work was shown at Gallery 1313, the Chinatown Centre, and OCAD University with the Faculty of Art.
